I'm trying to use Madwifi's driver on Ubuntu Gusty Gibbon Kernel 2.6.22-12-generic.
I have tried installing madwifi(0.9.3.2), madwifi-ng and madwifi-openhal.
With Madwifi-ng I got errors like this ones:
ath_hal: module license 'Proprietary' taints kernel.
ath_hal: 0.9.30.13 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, AR5416, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413, RF2133)
ath_pci: 0.9.4.5 (svn r2713)
MadWifi: unable to attach hardware: 'Hardware revision not supported' (HAL status 13)
And with Madwifi I got similar errors=(HAL status 13)
Using Madwifi-Openhal I got this error(HAL status 8):
ath_hal: OpenHAL loaded (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5110/1/2)
ath_rate_sample: 1.2
ath_pci: 0.9.5.0-BSD (EXPERIMENTAL)
ath_hal: Device not supported (0xe2)
ath_attach: unable to attach hardware: 'Hardware revision not supported' (HAL status 8)
A strange thing that happends too is that, when executing lspci, I got this output, and my WIFI card is a AR5007EG:
Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006EG 802.11 b/g Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
Can I Fix this error or do I find a new solution?
I'm so sorry by my bad English. Thanks a lot
