Description

We use Kernel 2.6.20 and the Senao NMP-8602 PLUS Wlan card.

The system crashes some times after a view minutes of operating with iperf.

We found out that the problem is solfed if we change the output power of the wlan card.

I read at the card support list that this is an known bug. Is there any time line to fix this issue

Blind guess: could it be that you use a PC Engines ALIX board?

We use a advantech PCM-3353 SBC and a PCM-3116 dual mini pci adapter the linux runs out of a 1 GB CF Card

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to invalid.

Well, the note in the compatibility list you refer to says that this is a hardware issue (board is not able to supply enough power to the card), and your description suggests that you might suffer from a similar problem. By reducing the TX power you also reduce the power drain of the card.

As it stands there is nothing that we could do on the software side to fix this issue. Please contact your hardware vendor.
