Description

I have just installed the latest madwifi driver for my acer aspire 9300 notebook, it has the atheros wireless built in card. Whenever it seeks to connect to my wireless network it freezes in place for about 10 minutes at a time.

Most of the time, such a freeze is accompanied by a kernel oops. Please refer to DevDocs/KernelOops, try to obtain the corresponding oops dump and provide it here. Please provide further details, such as a detailed description about your WLAN environment, kernel version, WLAN card configuration and the steps that are required to reproduce this issue. Last but not least, try whether this issue exists in the latest development version (trunk).
