| notes: | Succesfully worked with MadWifi madwifi-0.9.0-1.lvn5 RPM package on Fedora Core 5 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5 i386 Successfully worked with March 19, 2007 MadWifi-ng update - madwifi-0.9.3 - on Ubuntu 6.10 64-bit. |
| notes: | This is the Best Buy house brand for those of you who do not know. |
| notes: | Works with madwifi-0.9.2.1, madwifi-ng drivers have trouble For Ubuntu, I had to do a build from the tarball download from the MadWifi site, and rebuild after updating, but it works beautifully after everything is properly set up. I could NOT get it to work with older madwifi drivers because the HAL didn't work, so the networks were detected, but refused to connect. |
| notes: | Worked out of the box in Ubuntu 7.04 and 7.10 (although it will sporadically drop the connection, logging something to dmesg), worked perfectly in Gentoo x64 with madwifi-ng. Seems to get a less powerful signal in Ubuntu (appears to be with madwifi-ng, unsure) than in Gentoo with madwifi-ng 0.9.6. |
| notes: | Could not get running in ubuntu 7.04. Had to use ndiswrapper. tried to compile from source and using ubuntu package with no success. |
| notes: | This has since been replaced with the DX-BNBC model number, which uses a broadcom chipset :( |
